New Yuan Ming Palace Waterpark, Zhuhai, China
Located next to the gambling and resort attractions of Macao, New Yuan Ming Palace is just one hour by boat from Hong Kong. South China’s first themed waterpark opened to enthusiastic visitors in July of 1999. The park is constructed around an existing component of the New Yuan Ming Palace, which is a historical theme park designed around Beijing’s Yuan Ming Palace, built during the Ching Dynasty.
Amusement Leisure utilized the expertise of their manufacturing facility in China to construct and install a four lane Surfhill Racer, a Big Splash Boat Ride, two Superflume Twister slides and two heart-stopping speed slides. Amidst the extensive “Lost City” theming package is a 45-meter (148-foot) manmade waterfall, a duplication of the Forbidden City Palace and a replica of a portion of the Great Wall of China.
